Ability Hand featured on 60 Minutes

The PSYONIC Ability Hand was featured on 60 Minutes, the TV magazine that's been a Sunday-night staple since 1968. The story featured work from Sliman Bensmaia's team at the University of Chicago that has made it possible for a patient to control the PSYONIC Ability Hand using technology implanted directly into his brain -- and to feel host Scott Pelley's handshake.

A typical user controls and receives feedback from the Ability Hand using the muscles in their arm. That, of course, isn't an option for someone who is paralyzed. The team's work is at the absolutely cutting edge, and it begins to open bionic technology up to an important group of people who could someday benefit from it.

We are honored to play a role in this incredible advancement and appreciate all the hard work put in by countless researchers and patients who are making it possible.
